I was trying to shoot a picture of the plane that was flying low over my hotel room (yeah, I was on the flight path) and coincidentally saw the out-of-focus lights from the cheap motel behind my Marriott. Snapped it and was happy about a cool image.

Just shooting out the window of my plane to Raleigh. Last time I got a great sunrise shot. This time – rain on the window with lovely Newark-Liberty International Airport in the background.

Kate ran in to the grocery store to pick up a few ingredients for dinner, so I played around with the Sony point & shoot. I captured this image by moving the camera across my Sirius satellite radio during a long (couple second) exposure.

She will hate this picture, but I like it. She’s giving me the “model” look with her hair in her face. She was just playing around, but she looks beautiful (as always).

On the way home from some friends’ house this evening, I got the urge to pull over on the offramp from the turnpike to snap some shots. Since standing on the side of the turnpike can be a little unnerving, I was shooting fast and not paying attention to keeping still and waiting for a shot to finish before adjusting the zoom, etc. All my pictures were blurry, but this one actually looked kinda cool, too.

Nothing has been done to retouch this photo. It’s EXACTLY as it came out of my point and shoot camera. That flash does some interesting things, for sure.
Lucca is giving me the Hellhound eyes and Kate looks a little evil with the red eyes as well. I’m definitely going to have to sleep with one eye open…

I went down to Kate’s office and met her after work today. This shot is of the lights in the 6th floor lobby of the MTV/Viacom building at 1515 Broadway in Times Square, where she works. They don’t seem this blue in person, but the camera really made them look cool to me.
Leave it to MTV to design cool offices, I suppose.
10/365 – JC Temple, originally uploaded by Drewje.This is the temple on the corner of our block. The temple itself is designated a historical site. I’ve never seen anyone come in or out of it for some reason. They did have an electric menorah out front at Hannukah time, though. I noticed that they were pretty consistent in lighting the lights each night.

I took Lucca the Wonder Dog in to doggy daycare today. He loves playing with the other dogs, and i love how sleepy he is afterwards. On the way home from taking him, I just aimed my camera out the window and held the trigger down on the camera in continuous mode. I liked this shot best. This is about 3 blocks from my house, so you get an idea of the neighborhood. Or should I just say ‘hood?

While walking Lucca today, we happened by a couple Christmas trees lying out on the sidewalk, waiting for the garbage collection. I just wonder who really kept their trees up until January 22. Seems awful late in the year to me.
